The Water Dancer
Merpeople also known as Fish-Folk, Water Dancers, Blue Men, and Merrows are more commonly called Mermen or Mermaids depending upon their gender. They have the lower bodies of a fish and the upper bodies and heads of humans. They are said to live in the vast caves of Atlantis and sometimes ghost ships and sunken wrecks.
Sailors have recorded many tales of Merpeople who have saved drowning people or who have steered their ships clear of disaster. Mermaids had a reputation for luring men to live with them beneath the sea and occasionally took human mates.
Some say a person soon to die by drowning is may see a mermaid in the water. Mermaids can sometimes be captured and are kept for the knowledge that they can give to humans, such as their ability to foretell of tidal waves and other catastrophic storms. The greatest wish of a mermaid, they say, is to gain a human soul. But this rarely happens as the condition to gaining a human soul is to transform into an aerial spirit and to cause no harm for 300 years.

Thank you and thanks for the fav too. I am glad you were able to recognize it. When I first saw it in thumbnail form I thought it was an underwater pic and I got excited because I needed one for my mermaid, but then I thought I can make it one. LOL Sure enough it worked out fine. The frame was accidental. I didn't flatten it before extending the frame and the dolphin was hanging over, I liked it so I made the mermaid hang over too. LOL Thanks!
